Currently, over
20 Billion Medical Insurance Claims a year,
are being electronically transmitted from Healthcare
Providers to Insurance Payers. Most of these
insurance claims go through intermediaries called
Clearinghouses. The primary function of a Clearinghouse
is to reformat the Insurance Claims data from
the Provider into a format that the Payers computer
system can interpret. The Clearinghouse in turn
charges a fee for this service. The fee can
range from 20 cent to 80 cent per claim, depending
on the volume of the claims submitted.
Join in on
this ground floor opportunity
Because of a
Federal Mandate, the Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act ( HIPAA ), through the
Department of Health and Human Services, all
Healthcare Providers, all Clearinghouses, and
all Payers must update their Software to meet
the new federally mandated standards for electronically
processing Medical Insurance Claims, using the new
diagnostic code set (ICD10).
What this means
is that the Industry will experience a dramatic
cost Increase in all sectors in order to meet
the Mandate. It is estimated that traditional
Clearinghouses will raise their fees by more
than 300 percent. Causing many Providers and
Payers to seek out less expensive alternatives.
Electronic Services
Technologies is that less expensive alternative.
Traditional Clearinghouses operate from a central
location requiring massive Computer Servers
and high speed telephone lines costing millions
of dollars. Electronic Services Technologies
operates like an Internet Service Provider (
ISP ) we use a network of local Clearinghouses
to receive and process Medical Insurance Claims
from local Providers ( Doctor Offices, Clinics,
Hospitals, HMO 's, Skilled Nursing Facilities
) and Payers (Insurance Companies, Businesses,
Unions, Municipalities )
Each local Clearinghouse
is only required to have a Desktop Computer
and an Internet connection. Prior to being setup, the local
Clearinghouse must have at least one (1) Healthcare
Provider that will be processing their claims
through the local Clearinghouse.
Electronic Services
Technologies will provide all training associated
with Medical Insurance Claims Processing and
the Claims Clearinghouse business.
