ATTN: Provider Services

Now that the new millennium is here, there will be some sweeping changes in the Health Care Provider Community. Not the least of these , will be the in depth reporting requirements for all patient encounters.

As I am sure you are aware, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 has mandated that The Secretary of Health and Human Services implement a NEW NATIONAL STANDARD for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for all health care transactions by the year 2002. While this new standard of health data transfer is much needed, it still does not address the problem facing many Payers. And that is 'The Data Point of Entry' . Ideally, Health Care Data should be input into a EDI system at the point of service. Which in many cases means data entry by the fieldwork teams and Independent Health Care Contractors.

The fact that these individuals are the keys to the concept of total automation, demands that the issue of 'Point of Data Entry' be resolved right along with the NEW NATIONAL STANDARDS implementation. Heretofore, the barriers to arming the field personnel with 'Point of Service' reporting equipment was two fold; 1, lack of standardization in reporting requirements, and 2, No user-friendly , One Time Entry, Accounting, Record Archiving, Claims & Encounter EDI software available, that the Field Divisions or Independent Contractors could cost justify.

Well . . . the barriers have been removed ! !

The Secretary of Health and Human Services has removed the first barrier, and ELECTRONIC SERVICES TECHNOLOGIES has removed the second.

The amazing part is that you can thrust your organization ahead of the implementation process because the software is available now, and usable now.

Here's how it works . . . . it takes approximately 40 SECONDS to prepare a claim or encounter for electronic transfer. At the same time, the details of the services rendered are archived for instant report retrieval. And any financials are automatically updated to the built-in Electronic General Ledger (the Independent Contractors would love this .... no books to keep).

The claims and encounter information can be transmitted direct to your computer or it can be transmitted to you Via a Clearinghouse, at your option, because both methods of transfer are built-in. The Data format can either be the current National Standard Format 3.01 or the NEW NATIONAL STANDARD FORMAT (ANSI X-12). Again, at your option, because both of these formats are built-in also. And you don't have to restructure the data to switch between formats.

I know you are now wondering how much does all this cost ! ! Well . . . , Actually I'm too embarrassed to say ! But I will say this . . . . . . . it's so INEXPENSIVE, you might consider giving this software to your Field Partners, just so you know their EDI capable.

WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO SIMPLY DOWNLOAD YOUR WORKORDERS TO YOUR FIELD PERSONNEL AND HAVE THE COMPLETED WORKORDERS UPLOADED BACK TO YOU ! !

Oh by the way, did I mention that this software is YEAR 2000 compliant?
